I’ve spent much of my life asking one question:
What world am I creating?
I’m Baylan Megino — creator of the Dream Maker Matrix™, founder of Global Dream Makers, executive leadership coach, intuitive strategist, spiritual guide, speaker, and writer. But none of those titles tells the whole story.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked alongside entrepreneurs, leaders, organizations, couples, and people standing at meaningful crossroads — helping them see the larger picture, reconnect with what matters most, and make more conscious choices about what comes next.
My work can be deeply strategic.
It can also be deeply personal or spiritual.
Often, it is all three.
The Moment That Changed the Question
Years ago, when my first marriage was falling apart, I joined a women’s circle.
At our first meeting, twelve women sat together in a small living room while the circle leader went around the room asking each woman the same question.
As I listened to the others answer, I started to sweat.
I was the woman who always had the answers.
The good employee.
The good girl.
The good wife.
The good mother.
The good daughter.
The one whose life looked good on the outside, even while something inside was beginning to crumble.
Then she looked at me and asked:
“What’s your dream?” I froze.
Up until that moment, so much of my life had been shaped by other people’s dreams, expectations, needs, and wishes.
What was my dream? I didn’t have a clue.
That question became the beginning of a much larger journey - a journey to rediscover my dreams, understand my values and how I navigate the world, and begin making more conscious choices about who I wanted to become.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t only creating a future built from my choices. I was becoming the person who would live in it.
Eventually, each choice touched an even bigger question:
What world am I creating?
That question now sits at the heart of my work.
The Work
I believe most people already carry far more wisdom than they realize. The answers may be obscured by responsibility, fear, old patterns, competing voices, grief, expectations, or simply the noise of everyday life.
My role is not to hand you your answers. It is to help create enough space, perspective, reflection, and discernment that you can hear yourself again.
Sometimes that means clarifying your Full Vision.
Other times it means recognizing a belief, pattern, or identity that has been quietly shaping your choices.
Sometimes it means looking at the whole system of your life and seeing how one decision may ripple through everything else.
And sometimes it means opening a deeper spiritual space for healing, guidance, meaning, or soul-to-soul communication.
Wholeness and Discernment
Wholeness does not mean bringing everything into every room. It means I no longer have to leave part of myself behind when I enter one.
Discernment is knowing which of the many pieces to bring to bear in addressing a situation or identifying a solution. That principle shapes how I work.
Over the years, I have studied, practiced, and been exposed to many healing modalities, spiritual traditions, business disciplines, leadership frameworks, and ways of understanding human behavior.
When I work with someone one-to-one, I draw from that entire body of experience as appropriate to the person, the moment, and the work before us.
There is no formula for that. There is presence, experience, discernment, and deep listening.
The Dream Maker Matrix™
The Dream Maker Matrix™ grew out of my own search to understand how the different parts of life affect one another.
Your work does not exist separately from your relationships.
Your relationships do not exist separately from your wellbeing.
Your beliefs affect what you allow yourself to imagine.
Your sense of purpose influences how you contribute.
And every choice creates ripples.
The Dream Maker Matrix™ offers a way to look at the whole of your life — across five interconnected areas and seven levels deep — so you can see more clearly what you are creating, what may be influencing it, and what deserves your attention now.
It is not about creating a perfect life.
It is about creating more consciously.
Strategy and Spirit
For much of my professional life, I have worked in environments where vision had to become real.
I have helped entrepreneurs build businesses, worked in investment and venture environments, been in leadership in organizations, supported executive decision-making, served as a Chamber of Commerce president, and helped translate big ideas into structure, systems, priorities, and action. That part of me never left.
Neither did the part of me that listens beyond what is immediately visible. My spiritual work includes intuitive guidance, channeling, energy work, healing practices, ritual, ceremony, and opening sacred containers where deeper work can take place.
I do not see strategy and Spirit as opposites. Both can belong in the room.
The question is what serves the person, the moment, and the vision.
A Bridge Between Worlds
I have come to understand myself as a bridge - Between vision and implementation, strategy and intuition, the practical and the sacred.
Between the life someone has been living and the life they are becoming ready to create.
I sometimes think of that role as messenger, guide, or hawk — seeing patterns from a wider view and helping bring what matters into focus.
For me, spiritual connection is not separate from the work of living. It is one of the ways we listen and discern. It's also one of the ways we remember that we are not creating alone.
Leadership, Contribution, and Legacy
I care deeply about the choices leaders make because those choices rarely affect only one person.
A leader’s decisions can shape families, companies, communities, cultures, and generations.
That is why I often return to the idea of the ripple. Your choices move outward.
So do your courage, your clarity, your healing, your integrity, and your willingness to create differently.
I believe that when people are actively creating their dreams, families, businesses, and communities are strengthened.
And when enough people begin living and leading from that place, something larger becomes possible.
